There are AA meetings in the Moonee Ponds region every day and night, with provision for various types of meetings including:
Identification meetings where members relate their stories of recovery from active alcoholism;
Discussion and Theme meetings  where members raise and discuss topics relating to their every day  living without alcohol;
Gender specific  meetings to enable members speak more freely with members of the same sex;
Beginners meetings where the speakers concentrate on the basics of staying sober and helping other alcoholics to achieve sobriety;
Steps meetings where members are invited to share their experiences in relation to putting the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous into their lives;
